Announce a new product or feature so the reader immediately grasps what changed, why it matters to them, and what to do next. Most launch posts fail by leading with the company's excitement instead of the reader's benefit.
Structure
- The news, in one line. What's new, stated plainly. No "we're thrilled to announce."
- Why it matters to the reader. The problem it solves or the outcome it unlocks — in their terms. This is the paragraph that earns the rest.
- How it works — briefly, concretely. Show it (a short example, a before/after), don't just describe it.
- Proof or specifics — a number, an early result, a customer quote if you have one.
- One clear CTA — try it, book a demo, read the docs. Pick the single most important action.
Tone by channel
- Email: subject line = the benefit or the news, short. Body skimmable, one CTA button.
- Blog/post: a little more room for the story, but still lead with the reader.
- Social: the hook is the first line; the rest is optional.
Rules
- Lead with benefit, not with your milestone. Nobody outside the building cares that it's "v2."
- Concrete beats grand: "cut approval time from days to minutes" beats "transforms your workflow."
- Cut the hype adjectives. Confidence reads as understatement.
- One primary CTA. Competing asks kill conversion.
